Vincent D’Onofrio on Late Night with Seth Meyers

Just like riding a bicycle, it all comes right back for Vincent on late night television.

Actor Vincent D’Onofrio, who plays the villain Kingpin on Disney+’s Daredevil: Born Again, was on Late Night with Seth Meyers to promote the series and ended his time onstage by reluctantly doing a card trick.

D’Onofrio, Meyers explained to the audience, used to be really into magic as a young man. That obsession appears to have faded as the actor got older, but he still pulled out a deck of cards and set things up by saying, “I don’t know if this is gonna work. It’s been a long time,” and then, after an embarrassed laugh, added, “I find magic to be really boring.”

D’Onofrio asked Meyers to pick a card out of the deck and then used a Slip Force to determine what card the talk show host selected. In what appears to be a little bit of pre-show, a woman in the audience had a folded up piece of printer paper, which when unfolded had the letter “K” and a heart shape drawn in bic pen. The card selected? The King of Hearts. Magic?
