Have you ever intended to put an act together for a special occasion and then, short of ideas, you end up saying, “Well, I’ll just do my thing.”
This happened to me the first time I performed at The Magic Castle. I felt more relaxed when I realized that “doing my thing” was, actually, not a bad idea.
I had performed that material for years and just assembled it to fit the format and conditions of the Close-Up Gallery. I was feeling good about my set and my choices.
