The Lipp-Flip(p)

A smooth and sudden appearance of a chosen card form the middle of the deck!

The Lipp-Flip(p)

I first met Lukas Lipp around 16 years ago at a magic camp for young magicians in Meissen, Germany. He showed me two effects, and both fooled me badly. His style was extremely casual—sometimes even appearing sloppy—and yet I could neither see nor sense any technique at work.

One of those effects featured a card revelation that he later taught me, and it has remained in my repertoire ever since. Lukas always needs to keep his hands busy, almost constantly playing with whatever is nearby, from pens to playing cards. This move “happened” to him at FISM Stockholm in 2006, almost exactly 20 years ago. It is visual, practical, and great fun to perform. This is The Lipp Flip(p).
