This May, the Academy of Magical Arts held the 57th annual AMA Awards in downtown Los Angeles at the Orpheum Theatre. The event was hosted by Nick Diffatte and also featured performances by Ibuki, Mortenn Christiansen, and Read Chang. Throughout the night, the AMA awarded numerous fellowships and also saw actor Jason Segel announce the winners of the showroom awards.

The fellowship honorees were: Finn Jon for the Masters Fellowship; Gay Blackstone for the Lifetime Achievement Fellowship; Justin Willman for the Magician of the Year; Tina Lenert for the Performing Fellowship, Stage; Hide Halfmoon for the Performing Fellowship, Close-Up; Dr. Matt Pritchard for the Creative Fellowship; Gabriel Fajuri for the Literary Fellowship; Larry John Kahlow for a Special Fellowship; Daniel Summers for a Special Fellowship; Georges Proust for a Special Fellowship; James Olsen for a Special Fellowship; and Greg and Debbie Bordner for a Special Fellowship.

The Showroom awards went to Zabrecky for Close-Up; Jon Armstrong for Parlour; Mind2Mind for Stage; and Richard Turner for Lecturer.
