Full-time kid show magicians perform thousands of shows over the course of their careers. I stopped counting at 10,000 shows. With that many performances, crazy, unique, once-in-a-lifetime experiences are bound to happen. 

Many of us have had the show where we will bring up a child from the audience, just like we always do, only to find out after the show that the child we chose, who did a great job onstage, actually has a learning disability and has never spoken a word in school. It is quite satisfying to know you have facilitated that experience for a child.

One example of this comes from Dave Moreland, an actor and kid show magician in New York City who specializes in schools and libraries. I will let him tell the story:
