I’ve been reading a lot about the ways it’s being used by writers, how it’s changing the way doctors and lawyers work, and how it’s affecting illustrators and designers. Yet somehow, nobody has said a word about what’s happening to magic-app developers, which I can only assume is an oversight.
And so, here are 10 ways AI has already changed magic apps.
- Abundance
Software development used to be the barrier to entry of releasing a magic app, and there traditionally haven’t been many of them as a result. One consequence of it becoming easier to develop apps today is that magicians have been creating a lot more of them. Anyone who has ever had an idea for a magic app is now able to actually build it, and some of these ideas will be great.
However, we’re also being subjected to a lot of noise. A percentage of the apps that are being released are naturally based on ideas that haven’t been well thought through. Finding magic apps that suit you among the constant releases feels like it’s getting harder.
