I had wild nerves before every single show from my fourth-grade talent night up until about four years ago. I was doing 10-12 performances a week in Cirque du Soleil’s Criss Angel Believe on the Las Vegas Strip and national tours for many years, and I was knotted with anxiety up until the moment I appeared from fire onstage, both literally and figuratively. Even in the heat of the moment, certain aspects of my routines could bring new anguish. It wasn’t the 1,500-seat theater that did me in; it might take me several hours to mentally, emotionally, and physically prepare for a 10-minute set at a comedy club. I consulted acting teachers, dance captains, acrobatic coaches, and talk therapists alike, all to no avail. Then I found Jung.
