Geoff Latta was an influential underground New York card worker in the latter part of the 20th century. While he died in 2008 at the age of 51, the authors of this book and its 2017 companion on Geoff’s coin magic, The Long Goodbye, Stephen Hobbs and Stephen Minch, have put together a rich, detailed, and loving tribute that preserves Latta’s work, and restores some of the crediting that got lost along the way. (Being underground doesn’t stop your material from getting around; your name just doesn’t always follow it.)
