An almost four-decade collection will become an exhibition in the new Windy City venue

Magic Collection Sold to The Hand and The Eye

Dr. Timothy Moore of Grandview, Ohio, has been a magic collector for over 35 years. The result is a jaw-dropping collection that, as Moore explained in an interview with public media station WOSU, has brought grown men to tears.

The Hand and The Eye, which is currently being developed in Chicago, reached out to Moore about showcasing his collection in their venue. Moore agreed and sold almost everything to them. His artifacts, which include several items related to Houdini, Thurston, Alexander Herrmann, and many others, have since been moved from the room above his garage to the Windy City. “It’s literally going to become a museum. I’m really thrilled about that,” Moore told WOSU. Guests visiting The Hand and The Eye when it opens this spring will be able to see Moore’s exhibits firsthand.
