Magician Jan Madd’s latest work is the French-language book, Dominique: Le Roi du Bluff, which translates to Dominique: The King of the Bluff. The book chronicles the career of Dominique Risbourg, aka “the world’s greatest pickpocket,” who rubbed shoulders with Frank Sinatra, Josephine Baker, Sammy Davis Jr., and others.
Jan and his wife, Chantal Saint-Jean, follow Dominique from the 1940s through the early ‘90s. The book also includes some previously unpublished documents from Dominque’s personal archives and testimonials on his influence on magic from magicians like Jeff McBride, Gaëtan Bloom, Jean Merlin, and Hans Klok.
