Jack Goldfinger is the director of entertainment at the world-famous Magic Castle in Hollywood, California. Prior to accepting his present position, he and Dove (his performing partner and spouse) spent their legendary career crossing the globe performing on cruise ships, in revue shows, and at magic conventions. In addition to their work onstage they have been staples on national television for decades. He is the man. These comments came from a conversation with Benjamin Barnes.

To quote Rocco: ‘My preferred drink is water, because it is the only beverage in the world that doesn’t leave an aftertaste in your mouth because it’s already there.’

I began doing magic before I knew it was magic. I was 7 years old and someone saw me doing whatever I was doing and they asked: ‘Are you a magician?’ and I said yeah!

When I was a young army serviceman, I was performing my card-manipulation act at a local nightclub in Hawaii. After I finished, a beautiful young lady appeared onstage and said: ‘You need help.’ She picked up my cards and we have been together ever since. Her name was Dove and together we moved to Los Angeles. Bill Larsen, Jr. invited us to become performing members of the Academy of Magical Arts. As a matter of fact, he gave me his membership pin (which I still wear proudly). And Milt Larsen made us stars by casting us in his annual production of It’s Magic.
