Amanda Seyfried is an Emmy-award-winning actor whose credits include Mamma Mia, Big Love, Les Misérables, The Dropout, and the recent movie, The Housemaid. It was for another movie, however—The Testament of Ann Lee—that she appeared on Late Night With Seth Meyers, where she performed a magic trick she got for her birthday. “I really think it’s amazing to be able to blow people’s minds, and I don’t think enough people know how to blow people’s minds, and I’m always mind-blown by magicians,” she said.
Seyfried then goes on to perform Scotch and Soda with a Mexican centavo and a half dollar. The coin Meyers selected disappears… only to end up underneath Seyfried’s coffee cup. “You’re a witch!” Meyers said at the end to applause. “This whole time! You’re a witch!”
