Piff the Magic Dragon is heading to the U.K. for nine days with Penn Jillette. The two are putting on a show (along with Mr. Piffles, the world’s only magic-performing Chihuahua) called Piff and Pop’s Magic Shoppe, where Penn plays Pop, Piff’s grumpy dad who also wears a dragon onesie, because we deserve nice things sometimes.
The show will have two halves. The first half will feature a solo act from both Pop and Piff, along with Mr. Piffles. According to marketing materials, “Each will take to the stage to showcase their signature styles of magic, wit and wonder from Penn’s sharp storytelling and world-class sleight of hand to Piff’s eccentric comedy and offbeat illusions.”

The second half of Piff and Pop’s Magic Shoppe will see Piff and Pop return to the stage as a duo. And be warned! Viewers are told to “expect the unexpected as the ‘Dragons’ combine forces into a larger-than-life finale.”
The collaboration marks the first time Penn has performed the U.K. without Teller, and also marks a homecoming for London-born Piff (aka John van der Put), who hasn’t been back to the U.K. in over 10 years. Piff sat down for “coffee” with Genii and you can read about his perspectives on his career’s development in that conversation.
The first date of the tour is September 10, 2026, when the duo (and Mr. Piffles) will open at the Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre. They’ll also perform at the New Theatre in Cardiff, the Theatre Royal in Brighton, Indigo at the O2 in London, the New Alexandria Theatre in Birmingham, the Opera House in Manchester, the Opera House in York, the Tyne Theatre & Opera House in Newcastle, and the Pavilion in Glasgow.
