Oz Pearlman’s publicist deserves every cent that they get. Recently, the mentalist received a New York Times profile, a segment on 60 Minutes, and a controversial spot on ABC’s The View, all presumably in promotion of what the Times calls his “part self-help, part business” book.
Pearlman, whom the Times calls “the manosphere’s favorite magician,” appears to have earned that moniker on several occasions, including previously on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast when he revealed Rogan’s actual PIN code.
On The View this past November, he repeated that stunt and revealed host Sara Haines’ PIN on national television. Haines, understandably, was angry, swearing and asking Pearlman, “Why would you say it on national television?!”

After the episode, Haines’ anger resulted in her publicly revealing Pearlman’s pre-show, something that I imagine was well-received by the magic community. She alleged that Pearlman was the only magician or mentalist who has been on The View over the years who met with the hosts “40 minutes before” air.
“He told me, ‘We would never talk about your real PIN number on the air,’ 40 minutes before [the broadcast], so he asked me to come up with a fake PIN number, because of course he wouldn’t say my real PIN Number,” she said (via Entertainment Weekly). “So, that was a little bit of a betrayal.”
Pearlman had no comment when outlets like Entertainment Weekly reached out to him about the encounter.
