This is an unexpected variation on the Nine Card Problem, from my book Impuzzibilities. It works well in a close-up show, using the cooperation of three or four spectators. It’s virtually self-working, and the selections seem to be in the hands of the spectators. For this example, they’ll help the magician find the four aces. I’ll describe it using three spectators and the magician taking the fourth group of cards.
