From the beginning, Genii published some excellent effects. In the first few volumes you had nothing less than original and brilliant tricks by T. Page Wright and William Larsen. Their ideas were very modern and ahead of their time.
Also as early as Volume 1, No. 2, October 1936, there was a great and original contribution by Judson Brown and Charlie Miller. We all know how brilliant Miller was in technique, performance, development of ideas, and transformative touches on classics, but not many are aware of Brown’s contributions. In my view, he was an underrated inventor and the definitive link in the chain of development that resulted in the classic Brainwave.
