The recent film, F1 The Movie, features Brad Pitt as a race car driver who was also an ex-gambler.
The feature had Pitt be deft at cardistry to reflect his gambling experience, and Doncaster magician Greg Chipman was the one who trained him.
“He was a fast learner. He cracked how to cut a deck of cards with one hand in less than a day, a move some people might take a month to master,” Chipman told the BBC about Pitt.

Chipman added that Pitt “was a natural” in learning a one-hand cut, but that he needed a bit more practice to get a handle on throwing cards across a room into a trash can. “He had to be accurate and that took a little time… take after take in fact,” he said.
