Ben Seidman has a third video out via Vanity Fair that showcases magic and sleight-of-hand in films. This one not only sees Seidman dig into scenes from The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, Mission: Impossible—Dead Reckoning Part One, Now You See Me 2, and The Illusionist, but also has him give a crash course on the history and mechanics of Pepper’s Ghost, including how viewers can replicate the phenomenon at home. And if that isn’t enough to pique your interest, Seidman also unleashes a Disecto Illusion arm chopper on a Vanity Fair crew member, whose hand remained unscathed. (The carrots, alas, lost their tops.)

The 11-minute video is worth a watch. Come for the Disecto, stay to witness Tom Cruise intensely performing The Vanishing Match with a fancy looking key, aka the MacGuffin of Dead Reckoning.
