Asi wind’s remarkable new stage show More Than Magic, which debuted last month to an extended standing ovation at the 1,555-seat Paramount theater in Huntington, New York, is based on one of the most powerful concepts in magical entertainment.
“The choices you make in your show tell us a little bit about you as a performer and a person,” said Wind in an interview with Genii. He described More Than Magic as “a very personal show, and I think every show should be. It should reveal who the performer is.”
Said another way, the “more” in More Than Magic is Wind’s humanity, which he reveals in countless ways over an engaging 90-minute performance. The show is booked through January 2026, with additional dates scheduled at venues in Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. (Full disclosure: Asi has been a friend for more than 20 years.)
More Than Magic is a reincarnation of Wind’s previous show, Incredibly Human, which ran for 450 performances over 18 months in the United States and at London’s Underbelly Boulevard Soho. During the London run alone—from September 2024 to January 2025—Wind did 64 performances per month.
