It started with an offhand comment over lunch with some friends in the magic industry. We were talking about work, and as the only nonmagical person at the table, my world of online web design didn’t exactly sound thrilling by comparison. Still, I wanted to share what I do. So, as an example, I brought up Penn’s Sunday School.
I was an avid listener of the podcast, but I had noticed that their website was painfully outdated. Old pictures, clunky visuals, the “About Us” page still had Lorem Ipsum placeholder text sitting there, as if no one had noticed. It made you wonder if anyone had looked at it since the day it went live. For a podcast run by one of the most famous names in magic, it wasn’t up to scratch.
A few days later, my phone rang. Someone from the Penn & Teller team had heard about my remarks and asked if I’d be interested in revamping the Sunday School website. That casual observation suddenly turned into a contract, and my team and I designed a slick new website and branding for them.
