R. Paul Wilson’s previous effect, the Predator Wallet, was a wonderful “any card” revelation by showing three cards, in a stack, with words written on the backs of them. Unfortunately, the wallet was expensive and the trick hasn’t been available for some time. But Wilson has developed a new variation, using three cards inside of a pack of cards. The secret is elegant and simple, the deck is beautifully made, and the effect is simply great.
The spectator names, for example, the Four of Clubs. The deck is removed from the case and spread to remove the two Jokers and an advertising card. Tossing these cards down onto the table (the only Jokers or special cards seen in the deck), they are turned over to show what’s written on the backs: “Four,” “Of,” “Clubs.”
It’s a neat way of upping your “Invisible Deck” game, and the handling is very good and very natural, especially at a table where the cards can be tossed down as they are found.
