Rachel Wax performs all over the country and is a regular at New York City’s Speakeasy Magick and The Slipper Room. Prakash Puru is a regular at Speakeasy Magick and also has a residence at Art of Play’s venue 69 Atlantic. Prakash To the extent that this is meant to be a conversation about fashion, style, and character—which are all subjects you and I care a lot about, and think a little bit about….

Rachel And are good at.

Prakash We hope.

Rachel No, we are.

Prakash …These subjects have the potential to be considered very esoteric. It’s possible anyone who sees these words will just turn the page, which, on the one hand, is not our problem.

Rachel That’s on them. But people do ask, “What should I wear when I perform?” So it’s not totally crazy. People do sometimes feel lost. 

Prakash Do people ask you that because you’re not a guy?

Rachel And because I have a fashion degree.

Prakash What do you tell them?
