Spotlight: Does Magic Use Modern Technology?

As you remember from school, as the lessons progress the curriculum can get harder or quirkier. I find myself being asked this question by inquisitive spectators and you may, too.

Every field of human endeavor, including the visual and performing arts, evolves to incorporate new concepts and new inventions. Magic is no exception. So, yes. But my own approach is to answer by redirecting the conversation back to our earlier, central point: Magic is about wonder, that immersive audience experience that is divorced from guessing methods.
