It’s hard to pinpoint exactly what has made Mat Franco’s wonderfully engaging show Magic Reinvented Nightly so successful for so long.

Perhaps from a marketing standpoint, the 90-minute experience, which celebrated its 10-year anniversary at The Linq Hotel in Las Vegas on August 5, owes at least part of its success to the fact that it’s family friendly and it opened five years after Lance Burton ended his 13-year run as Las Vegas’ No. 1 family magic show.

“You can take everyone from your young kids to your grandparents and everyone in between, and they’ll all have an amazing time,” said mentalist Eric Dittelman, who is close friends with Franco.

Franco also achieved worldwide fame in 2014 at the age of 26 when he became the first magician to win America’s Got Talent, which provided the instant star power and name recognition often required to succeed in the highly competitive Vegas market.
