Germany's Denis Behr can do what only a handful of other magicians in the world can do: amaze, entertain, and beguile a lay audience for more than an hour with a deck of playing cards.

Behr, the 44-year-old self-proclaimed King of Cards (no apologies to Harry Houdini), brought his one-man, 65-minute card act to the new 18-seat close-up magic theater—69 Atlantic—in Brooklyn, NY, for a four-night, eight-show run in November. To put it simply, the show was delightful. Behr is scheduled to be back at 69 Atlantic in June 2025.

Behr performs incredible, heavy-duty, sleight-of-hand card magic with the greatest of ease—all delivered with a dry, engaging, unassuming, and distinctly nerdy sense of humor.
